The story on Optima’s that I’ve heard is that in the last 2 years something changed and they’re not built the same way or something along that line and the new ones have issues. It’s all over the internet that the new Optimas are crap.

Well i went and bought a red top optima for my 13 yukon because the original ac delco battery was atleast 5 years old and didnt want to be stuck stranded somewhere this winter. I already had an additional battery to help with the audio system (1500 watts RMS) so we’ll see how that optima holds up. No problems yet 2 months in

Replaced the rear tailgate applique today with a Yukon one. Now I don't have to deal with a noisy loose applique and an extra Chevy symbol. Just a cleaner look imo.

some? since when? I have never seen a rear glass that didn't open unless it had barn doors

I have read but not seen that this was an option. It came to my attention when looking at remotes for many did not have the option to pop the back glass. If they all have it, then I reckon those remotes were from some other application.
