Bought new OEM lug nuts

I complained to Gorilla and they're sending me new lug nuts. Mine have gotten rusty and are less than a year old. We wash the truck 3 out of 4 weekends but the finish was not as durable, certainly not as good as chrome. I insisted on another black set and will clear coat them or something.

Cleaned the balls off her before vaca, new heads, tails(few weeks ago) greezed everything and did another oil change before my long *** trip to Florida.
Also put on new alum splash shield instead of that plastic bs ..
...and she stayed clean on the way down but i washed her anyway... so much easier keeping it clean when the weather is nice.... all the time

Swapped the dash panel...wasn't to bad took about 3 hours.
Had two left over screws on the driver's side by the time i got done. I remembered where they went about the time I finished up so I Had to take a few things back apart to put them in

And the upper panel is cracked now, not sure if I did it or it already was but can't really tell I'll replace it if it gets any worse

Just came back from a two day trip from DFW to Galveston, TX. Went apartment hunting for my daughter who is starting medical school at UTMB in August.

First longer road trip with the Tahoe and it ran and drove great all of the about 700 miles we did. Of course. Didn’t measure gas mileage, but since the average in the DIC went from 14.1mpg to 14.7mpg, I guess it wasn’t too bad. Considering the highway driving was 70-80mph most of the time plus two days of buzzing around Galveston.

The annoying occasional hollow clunking in the rear that I’ve posted earlier about is still there, though, and it gets really annoying on a newer, smooth asphalt surface when there’s not a lot of tire noise. Need to crawl under there once again and try to figure out what the hell is going on.
