Might as well get HPTuners MPVI, then you can datalog your fuel pressure and everything else!

They also list Passat TDI 05-13, but only '14 or '17 buick encore 1.4..

I have OBDEleven for the VW which does everything under the sun.
The Buick is about to be sold this spring cuz I'm tired of fixing it. I hate that car.

I finally unwrapped my Autel MK900-BT scanner, since I may need to program a module, and that is now virtually impossible with my Tech 2 (thank you GM). My first impression is that it is a nice scanner, ruggedly built body and carrying case, large touch screen, easy to read menus, logical in the progression through the screens, and provides a fair amount if related info (not just a code number). The fact that the OBDII dongle connects to the scanner itself through Bluetooth eliminates the wire that always seems to get in your way. The fact that the scanner connects to my PC and network through Wi-Fi, I don't need a long Ethernet cable to program with the scanner.

One BIG surprise, though, at least to me. I contacted their Support team with a question related to firmware updates, and they replied telling me that since I purchased the scanner through Amazon, and not directly through them, I was not eligible for their Support services. Of course, they are perfectly happy to take my money for any software updates that may be needed in the future. I know that this situation is not unique by any stretch, I just never thought about it, when purchasing this specific scanner.

TopDon seems to send out brand and firmware updates when needed for the first two years free. After that a guy has to pay for new brand updates. Don't imagine i'll ever have to pay for that though as i'll never be working on anything new enough to worry about it.

Got the passenger door trim put back on this morning. I thought about taking them all off but after looking at pics for a few days i like the trim, without it, it would just look to plain for my eye.

The innova 7111 has free lifetime updates, it won't do pass-thru techline module programming but it does pretty much everything else
they can occasionally be found on ebay for $200 used
the VCi is detachable and it has wi-fi and bluetooth
if you can score a decently priced used one it is a pretty good bang for the buck, new price is like $500+, they were $700 not that long ago

I installed my new BlackBear Performance ECM and TCM tune files yesterday, and everything went as expected. Of course, it snowed last night, so no road 'testing' the results for a day or so.

Was able to get the sunroof project tackled, will be doing new front speakers, escalade mirrors, sound deadening the doors and new GM exterior door handles this weekend on the front doors.

nice, i looked em over before i repainted them and thought they should go right on. Im sure ill figure it out.

heard a pretty good bang noise yesterday on the highway, couldn't pinpoint the source at first but about 30 seconds later discovered a nickel sized hit on the front window (windscreen for you foreigners). So shop said $65 to fill it and it wouldn't be pretty, I opted for new glass on Monday for $289.00 f-k used to only be like $165

Had my tahoe windshield replaced about 2 years ago for $220. BUT when I hit the washers, it will be hazy until the defroster runs for a minute or two. Haze seems internal because I can't wipe it off inside...

Amazon door handle plastic base is starting to look dry/whitish after half a year..

Seems like everything I replace, I want to replace again...

this shop I go to gets good glass it's not oem but it's good enough, he said oem would be like $500-600, I clicked thru safelite just to see and there quote said $486
I have had a tiny bit of a leak on the drivers side floorboard so I'm going to see if I can kill 2 birds with one stone. Either have his tech look down in there with the glass and shroud out and see if they can goober some sealant down in there or I will just hang around and do it myself while the glass is out.
I suspect there is either a body gap or the old the body sealant/glue has cracked or came loose down under the wiper motor.

This might help. I do not remember why i could not use the complete Escalade mirror. Seems like the window trim did not match up with the mirror.

Just a heads up @SpareParts those mirrors you have that are off a GMT900 Escalade will fit differently onto your GMT900 Yukon compared to your OEM Yukon mirrors. This is because the GMT900 Escalades have different window reveal moldings than the Yukons. They may fit differently against your...

I got a stone chip on the very top passenger side..It hasnt started cracking yet so i'm just gonna ignore it for now lol

small chips should be filled so they don't spider and ruin the whole window, I have around 3-4 other small ones that were filled in the past but this one is pretty large as far as chip's go. I could have it filled but it's just left of the rear view mirror so I would be staring at it all the time......

Appreciate the info, ill do some test fitting tonite to see what ill need to do. Pretty determined to use the escalade mirrors as i like the painted mounting finish and small touch of chrome to match my handles.
