Came with a new set of fog lights
Nice! Mine did too! I had a buddy with a Z71 back when I still had my '02 LT and talked him into swapping the front bumper assy with me because he was already in the process of trying to sell the truck so he didn't really care one way or the other. And the fog lights kinda match the hole shape on both so we swapped fog lights with em. Those kind of deals are the best!

Yes I agree, but I just replaced the fog lights so these are extras I guess.

And in case you're thinking "oh he had to have lost money on that sale then" or something, yeah, he did. Because it wasn't that long after that he ended up wrecking it. Totaled from what I heard

I got front grill almost ready for paint. That chrome don't play! Then took door panels completely apart, cleaned everything, painted the speaker grills, and changed out the yellow indicator LEDs to red in the seat heater button assy. I'm gonna need to figure out what kind of speakers to replace the dry rotted OEM ones it had in it. Any suggestions?
Still have the Bose in it? If so you'll need to stick with 2 ohm speakers.

Still have the factory head unit? Not in it, but I do have it. As for the amplifier. I'm sure it's there, but don't quote me on that. 2 ohm speakers huh?

If it was me I'd delete all the Bose-then you can use 4 ohm speakers-but that's me. I'm not a fan of Bose.

Just put the 05 lower bumper valance and air damn.
How did you attach it? I put mine on in 2017 and drilled holes and used zip ties. But somehow, I apparently randomly catch it on things and it's busted off 3x over the years. Fortunately, it's just the zip ties breaking.

I attached mine the same way. So far I've been lucky and haven't ripped it off--yet.

iirc them 2 om speakers use a much thinner wire to the speakers. and running the 4 om speakers off them dont sound great, so many will just run new speaker wires if going to 4 om.

So mine is a 04 and I bought 05 parts being the 04 tahoe doesn't have the air damn. But used the factory location and new body clips and then attached the air damn to the lower valance by drilling a hole on each side by the wheel and putting nuts, lock washers and bolts. It's been at 120+ and is still there.

Are the rear speakers going through the Bose amp? These are in the rear doors?
A signal is a signal to a speaker……. Purists will demand a 2 ohm….. But a 4 ohm will still work….. it may not be perfect, but you may not notice inside an SUV, with engine running and road noise.

A 4ohm speaker on a 2ohm system is less load on the amp so it actually runs cooler than normal. Thermal efficiency improves, but the speaker will have half the normal output of a 2ohm speaker (unless you have a high efficiency 4ohm speaker) so when that happens what do guys do? Turn up the volume. So now the 4ohm speakers are sounding good but your overloading all the 2ohm at the same time and making them sound like doodoo.

In my view, the interior of a Tahoe is the square footage of a closet…. You don’t need that much volume…..

This situation is what F/R faders are made to correct.

Unless you have taco pipes and the exhaust is really loud, then you might need more volume. I have found the 1din Kenwood I installed using the stock speakers works plenty good.
