What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

I see it came with it’s own brackets, and I see it doesn’t really look finished. So the question remains- can you use a standard install kit like a Metra or Scosche to make it look better? They’re only about $16, might be worth a try. pass side rear panel cover. theres also a module that goes bad in the same location.

you can take the panel off unplug the actuator and manually turn it to cold, or hot. need to keep the actuator on the knob to hold the knob in place. (its the one on the side furthest back. the one up further and more to the top is for the air flow direction.) till you get the part in hand if really needed. i had mine locked on heat since last fall. just never took the 15 minutes to change the part after it came in.

thats the one. that module is like a brain of the system. its a 100 bucks, actuator is 20 on rockauto. you'll find its part number on the old one in the truck.

so washer tank still leaks. gonna replace the other pump. if one was blown up, maybe this one has a crack i cant see.

in other news. i dropped a large deposit on the pro charger install for the SS. should be dropping it off in a few weeks.

Any ideas where to place aftermarket backup cameras?
I managed to run the wires under the driver side trim all the way to the back. Then under the cargo carpet. I filed a space for the wire to hide under the weather stripping on the stamped steel.
Then tapped into the reverse light to turn on the camera when used.
The camera is being held by the trim, I cut a line thru the trim enough to slide in the camera stand. Did not use any screws.
Will see how long this holds.
Possibly adding some silicone the back of the camera to help with the outside elements.

I actually drilled a hole in the middle of the license plate lol. Was kinda hidden and flush . Just a little illegal but it worked lol. Swore I had pics on here but can’t find any

I'm replacing the radiator today. After driving with all new gaskets and thermostat. I guess the radiator was the next thing to go. Maybe the preassure along with the 90 degree heat killed it.

Question:
Should my radiator fan turn on ASAP after engaging the AC to the coldest/recirculate setting?
I noticed some videos saying it will turn on as soon as the ac is. Idk.

I just replaced 2 of the 3 fan relays.

Temperature gauge stays under 200 degrees.

Yes your fan should turn on at the same time your compressor does, as soon as you turn on the AC and the snowflake illuminates.

Then something is up.
I managed to replace the radiator. Tomorrow will check on the fans. They turned on after I replaced the radiator and turned the heat all the way up to get the juices flowing. But I didnt see neither turn on after I switched to the coldest settings.

Is your AC turning on, does the snowflake in the control head turn on, or does it flash 3 times and go out?

The AC turns on, the snowflake turns on. But right now it is blowing hot air. That might be another problem.
I'm looking up other posts and will have to look into the temperature sensing unit. The harness was brittle and broke off. I wired a new tail for it. But didnt change the unit. Might be bad.

Damn battery died. After thinking it was something else I replaced that and was finally able to install my head unit. Damned battery had me thinking I kept wiring it completely wrong.

I did noticed that it turns on then shuts off, and repeats. It does this non stop.
