I don't even need to poll, but it seems 50-50. The younger generation wants to hear noise with total disregard for others. The older generation with families wants quiet, with the open to open the exhaust at times. It's that simple. Be respectful of others. Or be like a liberal and burn down your own city, because you disagree with someone.
Arguing isn't the right word. Sorry. Just saying rather then the guy going on and on with people who he doesn't agree with. He could easily answer the questions or comments of the people that are trying to help.

I’ve done plenty of road trips and have stayed in questionable hotels; I’m also not at all hating or judging the way you road trip.
Still doesn’t change the fact that spotting an Escalade V at a roadside motel wouldn’t be on the top of my bingo card.
Don't downplay the Escalade V for just "the best brakes". If that were really the case you could've saved a lot of money by purchasing a Platinum trim Escalade and adding a Brembo big brake kit to it. Then we wouldn't have even had this thread cause that regular Escalade would've had a much quieter stock exhaust
Sounds like at least you know there's been a change in the programming for the exhaust actuators. There could have possibly been a change in other components of the exhaust system itself. If I were you I'd look into the GM OEM Part numbers for the OEM Exhaust system and components on a '23 Escalade V compared to a '25 Escalade V; If they're different then there's been more than just a programming change. From this you can also look into if it's possible to swap out any of the OEM '23 Escalade V exhaust components with OEM exhaust components from a '25 Escalade V? I would have to believe that fitment and exhaust hangers would all be the same but perhaps there are different muffler and/or resonator part #'s or maybe different actuator part #'s? May not require much of a change?
Once you have some more data on part/programming variation between '23 and '25 MY I would consult your dealer on if there's a possibility for a change in the system if you were to use all OEM parts and if you did do that is there any updated exhaust programming they could offer to quiet down your '23. You may learn that what you want to accomplish is not that involved, or you also may learn that it's so involved you might as well trade in your '23 for a '25.
The cure is really quite simply. Put my name on the title and send it to me. Problem solved, my neighbors aren’t close enough to care and your neighbors can sleep in. Everyone is happy!

OP, I mean if it really aggravates you that much,,,, I'll trade you a Tahoe high country for the Escalade V,,, and even do you the solid of driving to you to make the trade.
Otherwise, you'd paid like $150K + for a rowdy luxury muscle SUV, a little barking on start-up is part of it, just enjoy it for what it is.

Me too on the no close neighbors. And, the ones who have been on this road as long as I have (26+ years), I don't even know their names. And, that's just fine with me.

GM just did a press release. The 2025 models have a completely different exhaust programming.

That will affect V mode. V mode is computer programmed to run with open exhaust. air fuel mixture ratio is specific to V mode.

Modern fuel injection monitors Air/fuel ratio using O2 sensors so the the ECM will keep air/fuel ratio in check. That’s what allows the engine to run as designed be it at sea level or in the mountains 10,000 feet above sea level. Thus, slight change in flow due to adding resonators will be corrected by the ECM with no measurable difference in power unless you put it on a Dino or are racing at the track.
The V will still be a silly-fast family hauler that will leave most vehicles in the dust.

My LT4 V loses 100 HP at least when I drove from sea level to 12,000 in the Colorado mountains. Not only the thin air, but the lower octane rating literally reduced HP. It was very noticeable. Even my wife felt it driving. So while the PCM does adjust, it does so at the expense of HP.
