Your not wrong, the motor is part of the selling feature but I kind of include the exhaust note in the motor package. I disagree the Escalade V was designed to be quiet but perhaps the 23 your referring too has been modified to make it louder then it was when it left the Arlington Assembly Plant? I love hearing my Tahoe HC 6.2L start up in the morning and thats not even close to the Escalade V Be interesting if you could download a Db app on your phone and record both the 23 and a new 25/26

I don't own a 25. But obviously Cadillac toned it down for a reason. Dogs don't like being woken up every morning.

It's all over the internet, and I saw a 25 being delivered at the dealer. GM changed the programming for the exhaust actuators.

Would a dealer be able to reprogam the actuators on yours to make it quieter, or is this someone else's?

I would love to see that. maybe you can dig up a link.
I stayed at a road side motel. The type with 10 rooms in a row on a parking lot. I literally woke up all 10 rooms. People were screaming at me.

This is great. A roadside motel might be one of the last places I would imagine spotting an Escalade V parked at.

You do realize that exhaust note on start up is probably one of the big selling features of that truck.
You think because there are a few you tube reviews of the loud exhaust, you think that is GM marketing? or some guy making a you tube video? or an independent review, suddenly becomes a selling feature as promoted by GM. Sorry, just because some internet guy with a video camera records something, you now are convinced it's a selling feature. ok....

When I had my Camaro ZL1 one the first things I did after purchase was to pull the fuse for the exhaust valves so they would always be fully opened. Now I believe the newer GM performance models have more controls to customize the multiple modes in the exhaust than I had back then.

3:30 in this video explains how to customize the exhaust settings.

There's just not enough car guys out there unfortunately. Too bad for them.
You know, even in high school, when glass packs [Thrush and Cherry Bombs around here] were very popular, I never wanted a loud car.

First, I didn't want to advertise that I was street racing. Second, the noise never appealed to me. I wanted to be able to hear the machine. And the stereo. :)

Headers and Turbo Mufflers, with a crossover pipe, sounded sweet to me.

I put a dual exhaust with turbo mufflers on my ‘78 C10 Bonanza back in the day, sweet mellow sound cruising and a deeper voice at full throttle.

There is a Z06 Corvette in the showroom at my friends Chevrolet dealership and they have to warn everyone in the showroom when they start it because its start up is so loud.

That's acceptable on a Corvette with the Z06 package. On a family Escalade, with little kids, it's just stupid.

The regular Escalade is practical for families with small kids, the Escalade V is not the choice for the typical family transport unless you’re looking for more performance in your lifestyle so you should have known what came with that choice.

What is super annoying is there's a never-ending stream of these numb nuts by our city bedroom window every morning. 30MPH zone. At 4:30 AM and home at night at 5:00 PM. Challengers, Mustangs, Chargers. Harleys etc. I like all of these vehicles and they have their place. But not nailing it at every stoplight at 4:00 AM when the entire city is sleeping on either side of the road for three miles either way. 95% of traffic doesn't do this. But these guys have to be proud of their **** at 4 AM.

I know most people are going to tell me that I should move. But it wasn't like this years ago and local authorities don't seem to worry about having any Excessive noise laws.
