The loss of HP at altitude you experienced is due to the thinner air that has less oxygen. Ask any drag racer and they will confirm this.

The ECM adjustment is what keeps the motor running smoothly and the air/fuel within specified range as designed.

If you want to get GM to do something you will need to get lots of older V owners to join your cause.

Enjoy the V.

GM did indeed do something. The 2025's are much quieter.

To get them to address on pre 2025 Vs you will need to get other pre 2025 V owners to join your cause.
In the meantime, I suggest you just put yours in gear right after it starts and it will drop down to about 1000 rpm which is quieter than the typical cold start high idle.

Anyone have a 2023 V Escalade?
The truck is simply too loud on startup. Wakes up the entire neighborhood. and I see no solution.
You have 2 (realistic) options:

1) Just start it with the garage door down.
2) You can customize the settings in “My Mode” to tone down the noise (as much as possible) and it’ll stay in that setting when you start it up. It’s not “quiet”, but it’s slightly better the default “Tour” mode.

YOU ARE WRONG. 100% dead wrong. The 2023's always start up with the exhaust WIDE OPEN no matter what setting its in. and only you would poison your family by running with the garage door closed. That's the stumpiest thing I ever heard. and I heard it twice recently.

Guess you’re not really looking for a solution… Best of luck.
