Bump

Yeah I'm almost set on a super duty 4l60e from monster transmission.
Any pros or cons people can share?

There is literally nothing special in a monster that isn't in any other reputable rebuild including one from a local trans shop. They win at marketing and that's it, in fact some of the stuff in their monster in a box kit is outdated and there are better alternatives out there then what they sell you.

They had decent pricing compared to some other places I looked at. Plus no core required. I'll check a local shop and see what their pricing is. Only one left in town though.

Yeah... Locally they want 2500 since my case is shot...
As far as affordability goes monster is looking pretty appeasing.

Dealer was expensive. I ordered a transmission. Should be here within 2 weeks now.

Any recommendations as far as AT fluid for a nice fresh trans?

They said Dex 6 or any synthetic fluid.
They offer to send schaeffers synthetic fluid for like $150. But I figured I could get a better price in town.

Finally got my transmission in! Hoping to out it in this weekend.
With all the choices out there just looking fr some preferences. Needing Dex 6 or a synthetic fluid, anyone have a preference? I don't want to put a store brand in, just makes me feel like I'm using cheap crap. Most places carry valvoline Dex 6. I was looking for a Mobil product but no one in town carries it. Royal purple only goes up to Dex 3. Castrol has a universal synthetic. Or there is a b&m trick shift sitting at a local store.

I used the Valvoline Dex 6 in my last rebuild. Make sure you have no leaks, that stuff is $$$.

Well valvoline here is only like $6
On the dexron site valvoline is a reblend (Dex/merc) instead of the original formula or whatever. That's why I was asking kinda. AMS had a private testing that exceeded gms expectations but they never bought the certification.
