Trailer brake controller

Is there a factory option for a trailer brake controller? Anyone have a part number or link? I keep ending up with one for Silverado. 2007 tahoe lt.

All of the NNBS900s have the wiring for the brake controller pre-installed, as far as I know. It takes like 20 minutes to install one. As others have said, the Tekonsha P3 is the way to go. Install videos are on etrailer.com.

I installed one in my ‘07 and it works great.

The 2012> integrated trailer brake controls in the left kick panel of the NNBS can not be added unless it’s installed on the factory line.

However, there’s always an exception to the rule. If you have the ability graft 08 Escalade into an 09 Silverado 2500 Duramax, you can add the ITBC

The Integrated Trailer Brake Controller (JL1) was introduced in 2009 and cannot be added without literally taking the truck apart. The wiring for an aftermarket controller is under the dash.

I installed one in my ‘07 and it works great.

I forgot that point. 20min is a pretty accurate estimate. Believe me, if I can do a clean install of an aftermarket gadget, anyone can.
