Govbomb to nice Trutrac Rebuild :)

Swapping out the drums to discs and had to pull the shafts, so i took off the cover, got the clips out etc etc. noticed the pin that holds the spider gear shaft (cross pin) was lose(came out by hand) and also has some wear on it. Can see where its been rubbed and scored the metal.
Anyone know the part number to this off hand? Should i go to GM or would the parts store have one?
Loktite?

Thanks brothers. I have a feeling this govbomb isnt going to last very long with that whipple. Well see what happens :) And damn i just spend 35bucks on lucas gear oil and a new gasket.. shit haha

blow it to shit and post up some pictures! haha can you swap a 2wd 14 bolt into your hoe like the 4x4 swap? should hold the power a hell of a lot better.

what cover did you pick up? i have the mag-hytec extra quart cover on mine and love it. has a built in O-ring so no RTV and no leaks :D

What happens if you o attempt to blow the rear and you lock it up, that's gonna lock up the drive shaft and tranny output shaft ... could be a hell of a lot more then fixing the rear end.

can you swap a 2wd 14 bolt into your hoe like the 4x4 swap?

The 454SS rear is a 2wd 14 bolt 5x5 lug pattern axle ... not sure of the width though.

very big O-ring!

sounds like a junkyard run to pull that bolt out of another 10 bolt in my opinion:Handshake:

As far as I know the pins are all the same, the cross shafts can be different based on gear selection. :)
