Hello, i have a 08 4wd tahoe and i was wondering what can i do to the rear end to achieve more travel?

Reason im asking this is i am completely redoing my front end, currently i have ksp poly ucas, rancho 2” rs7 loaded struts, poly oe lowers, and ksp poly endlinks, which ride terribly when all combined. Rebound sucks, and having poly lowers puts way too much stress on the mounting points, resulting in them coming loose even with lube.

Going to be switching to fox 2.0s from 15-18 silverado, which will be respring-ed and reduce the lift from 2” to 1”, moog hd lowers, dk uppers, probably kryptonite tie rods (if they make them), and oem endlinks, for a optimal stock travel on and off road ride quality and also so i can show off a little bit.

Now for that second part, i have a completely oem rear end and i want to improve travel, and also make the components back there look nice. Of course the struts and springs will be changed, will go with fox 2.0 standalones, and dorman hd springs, but for the rest of the 5 link, i was curious what aftermarket options there are that 1. Dont ride terribly, and 2. Look nice and tie in the rear to the front.
Mainly looking for a tubular lower track bar, and a tubular panhard bar.

Dorman makes springs? Be careful. Anything metal I've ever had from Dorman has been made from very cheap steel. Very nice looking ride by the way.

A little skeptical but thats why i put the plans in, just in case someone has a relevant opinion on mod choice. Thanks!

The search feature is your friend. There are lots of builds on here that you can glean information from going back over 10 years for this generation Tahoe.

With only an in of lift I am not sure it really matters and I can't imagine getting much more than an extra inch of travel in the back. I had Ranchos on mine and destroyed them in a year or two..

Mine has great road manors and even better off road performance. It has a 4 inch lift with longer than stock travel King shocks Damping rates and springs set up for my exact weight by King I have over 10 inches travel up front. The rear was lifted with longer shocks and springs my guess is close to 15 inches travel back there. I can hit big speed bumps at 30 or 40 mph with ease. When I lived in Arizona on desert trails doing 60 mph was not to uncomfortable..

When you go longer travel in the rear you may start breaking brake lines if you do, get a set of longer SS lines.
