You're rocking a 4L60e right? Is this video of any helpI've heard I MIGHT have an issue with the 02 motor fitting my existing tc. Something to do with the rear of the crank. Does anyone know if it'll all fit together with no issues? For any nubes, it's an 03 Hoe with a Circle D converter and stock--ish trans. Thx guys.
@iamdub Do you have a link to it?I don't know if it's in the video and I scanned through it a little, but it's 20 mins long so I may have missed over it.
But the difference in question is a spacing change due to a different crankshaft in the later years. GM makes a spacer ring to adapt.
I'm sure it's a simple and cheap solution. Best case, your new motor will bolt up just like the old one. Worst case, you'll need a dished flex plate or flat flex plate with the spacer. Nothing to fret over and the spacer is like $25ish, IIRC.
*EDIT* Just saw Jegs has it for $40 and it's $50 on Amazon. I swear it was about half that last I looked. Maybe another price hike from the strike?
