Tire Pressure Monitor Reset

Aloha Gang! Does anyone know of a way to reset the tire air pressure sensor that's in the wheel itself? My driver's side front tire sensor is way off and the yellow warning light is always on. The vehicle says the pressure is low at 18 PSI, but when I put a direct air pressure gauge on it the gauge reads 30 psi. Even the portable air compressor I have says that the pressure is 30 PSI. So I would think either the sensor is bad and needs to be replaced or it needs to be reset. Any ideas? Your help and assistance regarding this matter is greatly appreciated. Jokes and snide comments are welcomed too...as long as they are not of a personal nature and as always...NO MOTHERS! Aloha!

How old is your sensor?

Around two years ago when I bought new tires. The shop just changed them out when they installed the new tires. They said that was normal operating procedure. This is the first vehicle I've owned that had that installed. The ones I had before the tire change worked fine.

Sounds like a bum sensor. I am not aware of anyway to calibrate a particular sensor. They simply put out a signal based on the pressure they see and that’s it.

Call the shop that installed them to see if they'll warranty it for replacement.
