used the 5100s?
Yeah those babies are really nice. Where I am in Virginia is rough and it felt like I was floating, but when I turned it just felt like I was driving a sedan.

Will 1500's be ok if I get a 3'' BL or do you recommend another brand?
Do the Bilsteins. They have a range of sizes. My tears are for a 2-4" lift and fronts are 1-3" lift

I was checking out the Rancho shocks as well but wasn't sure which to buy

Rancho - 4 Rancho RS9000XL Shocks with 4 Red Shock Boots | 4WheelParts.com

I've read both on this forum and a few others that the Rancho shocks are quite harsh, gives a real rough ride. Not to mention, they supposedly don't last nearly as long as other makes.

FWIW, I've got KYB Monomax shocks (stock with 2" extenders rear, 2-5" lifted front) and I've got nothing but good things to say about them. IIRC, @ScottyBoy has them too.

The 5100 are great. Rides well over soft rolling bumps and dampens the harsher hits really well.
