just jumped 102 pages on this thread to see what new Yukon folks are up to.

1 month in, my motor blew with 3600 miles on it. 2023 6.2 L. Two rod bearings blew . Replaced my motor and started the process with GM on what was next.

Ended up getting a full replacement Yukon. Brand new vehicle, build was expedited, ~8 weeks. I’m at 2600 miles in Yukon version 2.0, and I got a blinking check engine light with a loaded vehicle on the way to my sons 3rd birthday party. Pulled over, turned off the car & started it up again. Hasnt lit back up since. Hooked up my cheap computer and it stated emission related code stored, but couldn’t get any further detail. In short, getting tired of the bs with this $90k truck. So far so good since the blinking check engine light but it’s certainly not helping with my confidence in this vehicle for our next long trip.

Wow... sounds like you're on your way to a 2nd replacement engine.

Why? Seems significantly less dangerous than the "attempt to grenade the powertrain" method

All joking aside, if you clear the codes and show up at the dealer without a code they could say:

"Well, there's no code and we can't reproduce it at this moment so come back when the problem presents itself."

... if your engine grenades, you say, "Well, my car doesn't move anymore... and it's stock by the way."

surprised at all the 6.2 issues - that are still occurring.

know a family that has a 23 denali 6.2 and engine "failed" on them on the way to the beach. big mess and were told the whole multiple weeks to even diagnose as well. that's for the birds.

I can understand a delay in replacing the engine. Not sure how they can get away with saying "it'll be a month before we can diagnose a check engine light". That's ridiculous

I had my car for exactly 1 month before my engine failed. 3600 miles. Exactly 4 weeks for them to get a new motor and install it.

Yukon Denali vers 2.0 has 2800 miles on it now. Let’s see if I can make it to 3.6k lol

Greetings all,

New here. first GM product. This thread has been helpful so posting our progress for others.

Awaiting delivery of our 2023 Denali XL, Duramax.
5/19 : Deposit sent to dealer
5/24 : Preliminary Order Accepted by GM
6/15 : Dealer said they got the allocation
6/30 : "order has been accepted for production" email
7/14 : "order has been built" email.
7/17 : "vehicle is on the move" email. VIN and window sticker showing in online inventory search, "in transit"

Curious how long it take to delivery to Northeast.

Update...Dealer says they should have the car in this week! Assuming that's true it will have taken only ~7 weeks from dealer allocation to delivery. Better than expected.

Although I'm a little bummed to miss out on the new LZ0 engine, I guess I'd rather be a late model-year build than the first off the line after a refresh.

Has anyone else hit a situation where their car got stuck at the rail destination yard? My car was built and shipped out of Texas on June 26th. Got to the destination rail yard on July 10th and has been stuck there since. The dealership said they just have an update as “on hold” and GM hasn’t been able to provide updates. Other vehicles for the same dealer that arrived after mine at the rail yard have already been delivered. I got in contact with GM and they said the only update they have is that it still needs to go through quality control and to check back every 2-3 weeks to see about updates.

I’m curious if others went through this and if and how long they had to wait. The dealership mentioned they have had this happen before and it could be a few months. I’m just hopeful for some good news!

When it rains, it pours. Originally ordered from one dealer that would honor supplier pricing in 4/2022 (a 2WD Denali). Finally found a 4WD at a different dealer that agreed to also honor pricing yesterday, picked it up today.

...and now our original order has allocated. Wonder how long I'll have to decide whether we want to buy two of 'em :)

Here's my "cancelled" '23 order. We first had a '22 on order in March '22. Didn't get allocated so it switched to a '23 at the end of June. Right after Thanksgiving I found one that matched what we wanted by 90% so I got my deposit back on this order and bought what we have now. Evidently Robideaux never cancelled the order in their system, so I got the order status updates from GMC and just saw this morning that it arrived at the dealership - lol.

From initial order to arriving at the dealer 17 months.

Good evening all, just wanted to start a thread about those folks ordering a 2023 to see how things progress with them and their orders.

I will start it off. Ordered my 2023 on june 16th, Radiant Red tintcoat, LS with drivers alert package. I checked with gm chat( an actual person) on june 24th, and the order has been accepted and in process to get built. They said to check next week for updates, so i will check back next Thursday.

Side note, to all of those stuck in midlothian, i feel terrible that yours are all stuck there and cant get any good i formation as to why they are there. Hope you all get them all shipped out to you folks in a quick manner.

Updated thread title to clarify that others who order 2023s can post as well.
Placed my order for a 2023 Z-71 in Silver Sage Metallic with 6.2 V8 on June 12th. As of two days ago it has yet to be picked up for production. My dealership is waiting for GM to authorize their allocation of a 6.2 before it gets pulled into production. I was told during my pre order that it was a 12-16 week lead time for delivery so we will play the waiting game for right now.

Hey all, I just ordered a 2023 Yukon Denali, I was quoted 4-6 months wait time. Do you think my order will switch to a 2024? I’m hoping to catch the refresh. All my dealer told me is it would auto switch but wouldn’t say if he thought my 2023 order would make it or not.
Just read on a GM authority thread that the 2024 Tahoe/Yukon interior refresh has been scrapped until 2025.

I saw that as well, thankfully my allocation came up a couple of weeks ago and I accepted it just incase.

Just curious for folks who already went through the process. My TPW was this week, how long after it is built do you get an email from GMC or your dealer. If it is delayed do you get an update on that as well?
Thanks!

Ordered 23 Yukon XL Denali - Dealer told me it's at 3400 production code, but I am wondering where do you all find the spot to chat with someone from GMC? Did they remove this feature?

depends on how your dealer entered your info in their system as to if you get an email from GMC. the majority on here never received anything official directly from GMC during the build process while others received status updates along the way (similar to other brands). Guessing the dealer has to enter the buyer's info in a separate system or something in order for those updates to be generated.

ditto on getting updates from dealers - depends on how customer service oriented they are.

I'd contact GMC via their chat option online or call their customer service # with your order number. Could contact the dealer for sure, but I usually save those calls for something I can't obtain on my own
