Tabs failed on the passenger side Taillight Assembly (GM OEM part 15198452) Cannot find any replacement part that has the second smaller socket opening (see arrow) on the middle light segment It is the clear lens backup light on the assembly and the second small socket running? light has it's own separate wiring harness to a second clear lamp.

All replacement parts on RockAuto, Ebay, etc only have the single large socket in each of the light segments. Purchased a DECO part that said it was a replacement for the OEM part # but RockAuto didn't provide a inside view of the sockets. This is a Tahoe LS that was purchased new by local Sheriff's department - still has the blue lights in the grill. Would that be the reason for the additional socket and wiring harness?

Since the wires powering that middle socket are not fed through the wire loom with the wires from the other 2 sockets, I'm thinking that it was not factory original. Just my 2 cents worth.

Thats DEFINITELY an aftermarket/upfitter add-on. They usually just drill a hole in the factory housing, and a rubber grommet pops into the hole to add aftermarket lights or strobes. If you want to keep this extra light, you can probably drill a hole in your new light and transfer that light over. If these strobes dont work any longer, or if they have been disabled, then I would just unplug it and not worry about it.
