http://www.diymobileaudio.com/forum/technical-advanced-car-audio-discussion/142984-escalade-active-noise-cancellation-disable.html

I had a single 500W amp and 12" sub installed over the weekend. I'm getting a lot of erratic sound through the sub. Even with the radio off, sound will come from the sub. See above link.

I'm thinking this is the issue because if vehicle it not moving. No issues. Only when vehicle is moving or I give the truck gas is when I get sound from the sub.

So at this point I think it's the Bose noise cancellation mics. But I just don't feel comfortable snipping wires. I would rather get to the Bose sub and hopefully just unplug them to test first.

As note, the shop who installed it has no background with the oem Bose systems. Called another shop and they said they would do different and just remove the Bose sub.

Just looking for anyone who has had similar experience and what they did to correct it. Thx.

Ya... I couldn't take it any more. After reading all over the net last night, that was pretty much what everyone has done. I clipped the wire only on the 2nd row passenger mic and that took care of it. Didn't have to do every mic. So feel a little better. Just wish I could have found some info on disconnecting a plug on the factory amp instead. Just don't feel right about clipping wires on a $50K+ luxury SUV, lol.

cool, yea it seems the mic wires are wired in line. Cutting any one of them disables all.

There are 2 mics side by side above the driver seat. Disconnect the mic closest to rear.
