Just picked up a 2023 High Country and upon further inspection looks like the front passenger strut mount bolts aren’t lining up in their housing? Taking it back to dealership tomorrow but wondering how this happens and how big of an issue it is. Any help or feedback is appreciated.

its not really alignment of the shock bolts, they just bolt to the metal piece under the nuts.
the plastic on top just use the bolts to align itself in place, without having the bolts in those recesses looks like it would hold the plastic piece and whatever mounts to it up a little bit but shouldnt hurt anything, dealership will prob just try forcing it over onto the bolts and send you on your way.

Appreciate the info! Sounds like it’s not too big of an issue, hopefully.
That plastic cover is a wire harness holder and it just slides onto the bolts. It may indicate someone installed lift spacers and removed them. Its not a big deal. However, that passenger side cover is almost impossible to lift that far without removing a bolt on the left side down the bracket a ways that screws into the frame. I am surprised you looked it over so closely.
