Prices increased even when minimum wage stayed stagnant for years. So this argument is invalid. Bottom line is that corporation raised prices and made more profits while still paying the workers less.

Then they should find another job in a different industry.

This is why they have a representative to bargain for them and don't have to get another job and start over at another job with earning benefit's and pay again. Heh maybe they like their jobs and don't want to try a different occupation.

And the workers walked out of the Kentucky plant which makes the super duty’s, expedition, and navigators. Yikes!

Yeah and this Shawn Fain making $350,000 a year just wants to put more money in his wallet from union dues. My dad was a teamster and never had anything good to say about them, he retired and was collecting his pension after 5 years past he got a letter in the mail stating his pension is going to get cut in half. This happened to other's that he worked with and retired.

The UAW doesn't pay pension's and at moment workers at big three hired after 08 don't have pensions eighter.
As far as union dues are for what is going on right now in pay for striking workers.

Sorry, but Union work in the auto industry has been a sham. Abolish the unions and have right to work states be able to handle their business. But the biggest sham is CEO getting record paychecks while no compensation for the rest of the company. If the company does good for the year, bonus should be paid across the board to all workers. There is no reason for CEO to get multi million bonuses.

Well, the CEO is the big boss. Everybody kisses up to the boss - except the shareholders. If the stock price is going up the boss gets big bonuses, stock price goes down the boss gets tossed out the window - with that golden parachute - and is pretty much set for life. That's business.

In other words, they get to f*ck around and NOT find out.

To me that is the big problem worrying about stock market before customer satisfaction of products and quality of products produced.

Ford guy sez 'the future of the company is at stake' and something about needing money for investments .... blah, blah, blah ....

OK, maybe stop stuffing so much of it in your own pocket?

And all the talk is about the CEOs. How many other C suiters have similar take homes? How much is really going out to them?

5 weeks now since the first workers here in Wentzville started picketing. Local news talked to a few and they said their patience and moral is wearing thin and they wish the union president would get them back to work soon.

Yeah, It is now over a month without a full paycheck for the strikers. That has to hurt. If the UAW really cared about their workers they would make the folks out on strike whole.

I wonder if Ford is able to hold out until January/February, if it will break the UAW as well. Would be tough for people to go through the holidays on a reduced paycheck.

UAW only has the funds to pay out the $500/wk (I believe) until the beginning of December. Then the "strike fund bucket" is dry.... so if it goes into the middle of Dec, all these UAW workers will be hurting badly for the holiday season. At which point, Fain should be opening up his checkbook to pay all the workers 500/wk for not having a job due to his tactics.

Thats if all workers were on strike, they can stretch it further there is 825 million at this point.
