And we the customer all pay in the end. As far as being too productive, no way, higher salaries less production time means higher priced items. Big companies will not be effected by higher wages they just raise the price of the product. Of course the union boss is for it cause that means higher union dues and more money for the unions that's all there in it for MONEY which we will pay.

It's just like when you go to buy a vehicle you offer way lower price than what you're willing to pay. It's called bargaining.

Look it up. Productivity is thru the roof. Thank technology for that. No sense in keeping with archaic principles. People used to argue about the 40 hour work week being too easy as well until it became the norm.

As for prices. Business doesn't need to raise prices if profits are stable.... Unless it's fueled by greed and gluten in which some new tax proposals could help quell that.

But we will see where all this ends up soon enough.

All I can add to this is the obvious. Don’t break down. I wanted a wiper blade and they told me it would be awhile.

All the stores around me have tons of wiper blades. Auto parts stores, Costco, Sam's, Walmart, etc

Gen-Z are in the workforce now. Why do they even need to work at all to earn a salary? Companies should just pay them for being alive.
Well your/our/everyone's data is harvested and sold to the tune of billions of dollars every year. If we taxed companies for stealing and using your/our data we could fund a UBI that way.

So your not far off.

My thoughts are (many) unions are corrupt as hell and the workers are getting fed a line of bull. Most UAW workers have high school educations and are already making pretty damn good wages for minimal skillsets. Stalantis called it out right. Greed drives jobs across borders and/or drives up the costs to everyone else. Strike away, personally I don't care.

Do you have a 21-23 Tahoe? The connector is different.
The wiper blade is an example of something small that they don’t have or will have trouble getting. A gm branded one. Imagine if you need an important part for your car?
