SRS B0100 issue

last weekend I removed my front seats to do some work on my center console. After reinstalling them and starting the Tahoe my airbag light came on (battery was disconnected for seat removal).

I check seat connections (no airbag in seats) and use my scanner and get a B0100 code (front impact sensor performance).

I ordered new dorman sensors and replaced both front sensors and after clearing the code the airbag light comes on. So I removed the new sensors and put the old ones back in (swapping left and right) and get the same code.

Any ideas?

also the abs "black box" (main controller) is under the drivers seat, you may have dislodged something when removing the seat

The other code is the same.
The srs box is under drivers seat.

I would double check the pin fitment in the terminals to verify they’re all snug, clean them up and spray electronics cleaner in the female side of the connector and then top it off with some die electric grease, slap it all back together. If there was no issue before you removed your seats then I’d be willing to bet it’s just a loose, sloppy connection. Don’t forget the two wire airbag plug that looks like it does nothing too.

I cleaned the front sensors yesterday. I’ll clean the plugs under the seat this weekend.

Just went under the seats. The yellow airbag connectors there are nothing!

I unplugged the airbag brain last weekend and cleaned it also.

Any more ideas?

fuse?, I would double-triple check any harness wires/plugs under the seat since that seems to be the original source of the trouble.

Fuse is a 15amp under the hood and it’s fine.

Passenger weight sensor works fine. Someone has dealt with this same problem before. Just hoping they see this post.

just so we are on the same page here, you do know the b0100 is the front bumper drivers side impact sensor right? that is not the seat sensor.

just making sure, it must be something in whatever connector/wire that leads to that sensor, might try looking for wiring diagrams so you will know what wires to check.
