Any Tahoe, Suburban, Escalade, Escalade ESV, Yukon, Yukon XL. definitely 2011. 2012 .. 2013. Probably 2014 as well.
and once again, it's a *glass to tab* adhesion problem. Nothing else. Nothing else was asked about. Very simple.
I didn't know things could get sospicyfrosty over a 3 cent defroster tab
I mean he got big mad for no reason. Then got political lol. We all were trying to help.I didn't know things could get so spicy over a 3 cent defroster tab
It’s not specific to the GMT900s. Every generation of GM SUV I detail has at least one broken tab on one side. My 2006’s glass lost two tabs. The 2005 Escalade glass I swapped on for the tail light mod had a broken tab. I have three clients with K2 platform rigs and they all have broken tabs. Just a crappy design in general from GM. The new T1 trucks still have the same exact tab mount setup, it’s just hidden under a plastic cover. Which helps from what I’ve seen but their plastic covers are easy to break. I just did a T1 platform rigs last week and the cover was broken and missing, exposing the tab. Frost fighters repair kit for the win. The tabs on my Escalade rear glass are still good several years after the repair.Any Tahoe, Suburban, Escalade, Escalade ESV, Yukon, Yukon XL. definitely 2011. 2012 .. 2013. Probably 2014 as well.

The stupidity in this world is beyond comprehension. Besides people above trying to create problems. I just asked another glass shop, and he said.. well. "Half the defroster still should work". ok, that's why you work in a glass shop, and not in a mechanical shop.

Not sure if you saw my first posted response. I gave a short synopsis of what I did to fix my tabs with the frost fighters tab repair kit. Good luck in getting it fixed either with the glass shop or fixing the tabs.WoW, The responses are getting more intelligent. We're now running 50/50 with intelligence and stupidity. At least things are improving. The glass company finally admitted they have a supplier problem, and it's all too common that these tabs fall off. This is after lying to me, trying to run away from the problem.

I mean you're currently in the lead for stupidity. No-one above was suggesting to create more problems. You never said if the defrost worked before or not. It wont create a problem checking for Power at the tab. But I mean you keep trying to insult people who were honestly trying to help and you'll get nowhere. The stupidity in this world is beyond comprehension. Once again your attitude towards people is showing and its painting a picture that isn't good.
You are incredibly dense my guy. Its literally talking to a wall.I asked about a tab, not a voltage check. There is absolutely NO reason to check for voltage, until the tab is corrected, and then you can obviously see if it is working. You just like to charge your customers for nothing, or do NOT know proper troubleshooting steps.
You are the dense one. There is no reason to troubleshoot beyond my eyes seeing a tab hanging off. Trouble shooting is complete. open circuit !! ding ding !! open circuit. You are the reason most car guys do their own work. You are incredibly dense my guy. Its literally talking to a wall.
Troubleshooting involves making sure the entire system works not just a single portion of it.
You know absolutely nothing about Troubleshooting or anything else involved in fixing problems..otherwise you wouldnt be on this fourm asking us for help.
Diagnostic fees include the full system not just the portion. The old saying of the customer is always right has never worked in the automotive industry where 98% of people know absolutely nothing about cars.
Good. More money for us when you screw it up.You are the dense one. There is no reason to troubleshoot beyond my eyes seeing a tab hanging off. Trouble shooting is complete. open circuit !! ding ding !! open circuit. You are the reason most car guys do their own work.

I see that you still have your panties twisted into a knot. Looks like they are squeezing even tighter. Are you going to stamp you feet now, and put on a big pout for us? Maybe hold your breath until your face turns red?You are the dense one. There is no reason to troubleshoot beyond my eyes seeing a tab hanging off.
