Is there a way to permanently fixing the rear glass defroster tabs ? safelite replaced the glass 5 times, and threw me out. They refuse to honor their own warranty.

Yes, there are specific glues out there for this purpose, which will conduct electricity.

But, make sure that you are in fact getting 12 volts to the tab, first, to ensure that you are fixing the actual source of your issue.

If the tab is hanging off, it's kinda obvious.
With NO pics or previous statements about the issue BEING the tab, we are all just throwing out answers. The BBB would be my next call and then possibly another safelite location. I have 6 within driving distance of my zipcode, so....

I wouldn't exactly recommend this, but I managed to solder mine back on.

I used a torch to keep the solder melted and then pressed it on instead of heating up the glass. Probably a stupid idea and seems like people have broken their glass soldering it, but it worked alright for me. Not sure if it works as well as a defroster repair kit would have, though.

I’ve repaired tabs on like three different rear glass setups, all with the frost fighters tab repair kit and all three glass setups have worked perfectly fine. It helps to remove the glass from the truck. I brought it into the living room and gave the tabs mounts a good clean with rubbing alcohol, let it dry, and then gave it a little bit of heat just over the tab spot with my heat gun set to low. Mix the frost fighters adhesive, match the tab to the mount with the adhesive, and then I used electrical tape to keep the tab set in place until the adhesive dried and set. I let it sit for like 12 hours inside to cure, and then put the glass back on the truck. Of course I have a garage to park in, or used the garage at my the ranch house I was house sitting for the last time so that helps. Obviously harder to take the glass off the truck if you have to leave it parked outside.

once again, if there is NO tab on the rear glass, that is the actual problem.

You've evidently not done much troubleshooting. No tab is an actual problem. It does not, though, make more problems impossible.

Multiple causes of a problem are rare, but do happen.

Why look for more problems when there are NONE !!!! We all know the broken tab is the problem. Period ENDED.
Well...we now know what kind of customer he is and prob the reason why he got thrown out.
You fail to listen to anyone and help yourself even the tiniest little bit. Its a simple check to rule out another common issue with the rear glass. YES It wont work with the tab hanging off..but it ALSO wont work with no power going to it.

Too bad this group is not like “Survivor”. Jeff wouldn’t even to to tally the votes.

you like wasting time. you can waste time like the democrats. everything you do is counter intuitive.
LOL! Typical response. Truth hurts so I must be a Democrat. Always has to be Political.
Just an FYI. I'm more of a Freethinker. I dont align with either side. I think all political/ideologies are corrupt and have zero interest for the general public as a whole.

If you were to come to my shop with that nonsense after we tried to help you 5 separate times. Yeah I'd stop helping as well. Your one time purchase at my business is not worth the hassle of such a bothersome customer.

It's amazing. I asked about the tab, and I get responses about finding other problems that don't exist. I didn't ask about a relay problem, or a fuse problem, or a switch problem, or a voltage problem. I asked about a tab problem, and get the most moronic responses. At least I got a good link for the frost fighter repair kit, and a good idea about a 140W weller. This is a well-known, well documented glass problem from 2011 .. 2013. TSB's written about it. OEM glass, aftermarket glass.
