So where's the junkyard parts sticky?

Hey guys, I'm new to my PoPoHo but not to cars and forums. My world I'm normally a nerd in is the 90s B/D body stuff - so we know what other rides to poach parts from for better performance on the cheap.

Just asking, but instead of high dollar sway bars that come in a pretty box, why not just use like 1 ton or 3/4 ton sways from a junkyard?

Why not cut a coil to drop the rear?

This is NOT a criticism, but I really thought I'd see less of "Look what I mail ordered and installed today" and at least SOME presence of guys with torches making things and finding combinations that work.

Cool place, I'm just more of a broke ass builder than I am a buyer of shiney parts.

Is there info like this and I'm just not seeing it?

Peace,
John.

Cutting coils changed the seeing rate and will made the vehicle ride like junk. That goes for any vehicle.

Not necessarily, it was just an example, and the coil didn't have to be from a stock spring.
