So earlier last week i posted in a thread about me hydrolocking my tahoe. Alot of people have asked why i don't get a snorkel for the hoe. Im not too sure about it cuz i haven't seen one on the forum (yet). I wanted to get your guys opinion on this before i do any mod.

I say go for it if you are using the truck for a lot of off road water use. You could probably do it pretty cheap your self too.

Yeah, check out 02TahoeMD ...he has a NBS, but adapted a land cruiser snorkel to fit his. The same can be done on an OBS, but it's all up to your fab skills as to how it'll work out. I have seen only one guy put one on an OBS hoe, and it looked pretty good, but there was no mention as to which snorkel he used specifically. Basically, they are just using a heat gun to help form the snorkel to the body lines better, and then cutting a 3"? hole in the fender and trimming out the inner fender to run a hose over to the factory airbox inlet.

There was a company that made them specifically for OBS, the website was in Spanish but someone ordered one and installed it. The website is down now but here's some pics the guy posted after he installed it

Looks a lot better now that he heated it up and better formed it up to the A piller line, before that it looked completely out of place.

We don't have much water in Phoenix so the only reason I'd really consider this is to be a poser. Looks pretty cool though, it's unfortunate our trucks don't have the aftermarket support of Jeeps and Toyotas.

I LOL'd at the pic of the Ford at the boat ramps pulled in forward. WTF was that guy doing?
