Lowered the truck with only keys and drop shocks... The stock Z71 suspension makes for an extremely ****** ride!

So, lets do this guys... I need to smooth out the ride. Less bouncy, more smoothness.

I am thinking about going with the belltechs on all 4 corners.

ThoughtS?

There's been a zillion threads on this but yea I agree BellTech street performance shocks. Just make sure you order the correct length for your drop. You lowered the truck with rear springs correct? Is that still JK's old 2/3?

thats correct... 3" drop shocks in the rear, 2 inch key up front (although I got about 3" in the front)

Stylen Trucks has some Nitro's on sale for $22 each (the front only i think)

I know there are a bunch of threads, one of which is mine from about 4 months ago. I was just reading through it, but I just want a fresh opinion real quick

ahh **** me, they do not work on 4wd trucks... I really need to get rid of all that 4WD ********* up front... doing nothing but weighing my truck down.

FWIW, I went Bilstein HD on all 4's on my Z. I have the McG's 2/3 w/helper bags in the rear and it rides pretty good. Only the harshest bumps get ya.

honeslty the belltehc street performance shocks ride really good with the set up your running.

Your running shock extenders also correct in rear?

been doing this since 99 on these tahoes so its up to you. Stock height i like billsteins but lowered im not a big fan of them.

Either way will be better than what you have now. If you decide to do belltechs just hollar on me ill beat anyones prices on the street performance shocks shipped to your door.

I like the z71 because it looks the best IMO. I am pretty sure I am going to remove all that 4x4 shit up front to shed the weight. I dont think I will ever use it. It wont be a z71 by 2011, body styling only.
