Side Blind Zone Alert system note

Just thought I would pass this bit of information along to those that have the side blind zone alert system.

If a cop passes you close by with his Ka band radar on, it will cause the SBZA system to become disabled. Happened to me yesterday when a cop was waiting to pull out of the police station as I drove by.

I'm confused, is your SBZA aftermarket or factory?
And why does it do that?

Interesting.

So far, rain is the only thing that disables mine.

Interesting....
Mine goes "disabled" almost every time I drive. Usually for just a minute or two. Never paid attention to cops around me. Has this been verified by GM? I almost took the Yukon in for service several times becasue of this.
