Hi all. My 2017 Yukon SLT has 120k on it. I feel like the ride quality could be so much better. Generally it's ok on smooth roads, handling dips and curves good but
minor to moderate bumps are harsh.
It's been very well maintained. 5k on Michelins, 20 k on rear shocks/front struts and strut plates. Tires reading 40 psi after heated up/driving.
I'm looking for input on correcting this if possible. Although I don't see any visual bushing failure, my thought is bushings could be the cause. This would be a pretty big job.
Buying complete control arms will be easier than trying to replace the bushings, but a lot more expensive. I have a typical hydraulic 20 ton "shop press" but not a specific ball joint and bushing press tool....could be tough to do even for a veteran dealer tech.
Replacement list would be:
-New front uppet and lower control arms (also gets me new ball joints).
-Front jounce bumpers
-Rear upper & lower control arms
-rear lateral link
-rear spring insulators
-rear jounce bumpers
-possibly body moun/ insulating bushings???
-possibly sway bar bushings??
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
