Hey all! I looked around the forum 1st before posting and couldn’t find much info. Trying to go a little wider on tires than my stock size 285/45R24 but I don’t want to sacrifice any side wall…. Has anyone done this yet? If so hows your experience? Picture of My SUV attached.

Thanks all!

I did a quick search, and I found only 1 tire, an off-road tire, in the 295/45x24 size ($500+ each). I found no tires in the 305/45x24 size. You may be SOL with your increased tire width desire at the 24" wheel size.

Along with tire availability limitations, I think another issue you'd have to contend with is tires is wider tires rubbing on fender liners and/or components (and that you'd have to make some modifications to accommodate the added width).

Try sniffing around in the "Lifted" section. Some folks in there have gone with wider tires (and explained the mods they needed to make) -- but some of them have also gone with wheels with different offsets. Not sure you'll find anyone with wider 24"s in there, but maybe -- and if the tire heights remain the same between 22"s and 24"s, then you can still get some useable info there, I'd think.

Why do you want to get wider tires?

Thanks everyone so far! Just for look purposes, i feel like the tires just look a bit skinny/narrow for how big of a vehicle it is… again not looking to go real wide… just a tad bigger than stock….
I totally understand.

I think those wheels and tires look awesome on your Escalade but understand your point.

Too bad wheels and tires are so expensive but if the price is not a deterrent, you can wait until you need tires and get new rims and tires and sell your OEM wheels.
A 22” wheel might give you more tire options and you might be able to get the width and more sidewall which might look and ride better.

Like most car stuff it’s a problem money can solve if you want to pay the price.
