Ok i'm new to the tahoe and i came from a non-bose 350z where all 4 speakers were easy to swap out without any bypasses etc. I guess the bose is a 9 speaker system consisting of 4 tweeters, 4 6 1/2 door speakers and a subwoofer connected to one amp????????? Ive been looking at purchasing 2 sets of Alpine Type-R components with tweeters and a 500w rms 4-channel amp to power it all. what exactly would i need to do to get it all connected with converters and so on? i eventually plan on getting an aftermarket HU, subs and another amp to power them down the road but no time soon. i am more for highs and lows and less for bass right now.. any advice would help me since i am a noob with no idea . Thanks

ok since i cant find help. is it safe to just add 2 amps to the car and just leave the bose amp. I will cut the stock wiring at the door speaker so it will only be powering the d pillar speakers and stock sub while ill be using the other 2 amps to power the doors/tweeters and subwoofer. I also heard that if i leave the bose amp powering the stock driver side door speaker and just re locate it that i will not lose the chimes. any help on this would be appreciated

When I had my Tahoe, I left the bose amp connected to the speakers and got an aftermarket headunit (pioneer z110bt), aftermarket amp (JL 250/1), and another sub (kicker 10" L7)... both amps worked fine.

well i planned on replacing the bose speakers. i had an ipod with a monster aux cord and had no complaints with the sound but got robbed of my ipod and cable so now i have a panasonic aux with my ipad and do not here the same quality music making me want to just upgrade the speakers and add a 4 channel amp. does the aux cable make that much of a difference or maybe im imagining?
