Replace VLOM early to Extend Life of Original Lifters

I am curious if anyone is aware of attempts to extend the life of the original lifters by replacing the original VLOM plate with the updated one with increased oil volume and pressure?
I haven't seen posts of people trying this, or the results of this attempt anywhere.
Seems like it would be pretty quick to swap out this plate to try.

What is the updated part your looking at I am replacing the lifters and probably should do this too
