I am looking at removing my roof rack on my 02 Yukon SLT and was seeing that people put screws with silicone on them to prevent leakage. If I want those hidden has anybody used the vinyl that they wrap cars in to cover these screw heads? Just curious and wanted to see what everyone thought of that idea. My Yukon is black that is why I ask.

How bout black touch paint and just paint the screw heads.....

If I removed my rack I'd have to have all the holes filled, sanded, and painted because my eyes would be drawn to all those screws sticking up on the roof.....

I was planning on painting the screw heads black too. I'm planning on having the Yukon painted next year. Was going to do all of that at once. Just tossing ideas around. I am trying to decide between removing the rack or putting an esky rack on it. I have esky rear vents, third brake light and back window being put in within the next month.

OHSIXX and JochenWoern I am actually leaning more towards the esky roof rack at this time. I have been looking around trying to find a good deal on one from a local junkyard. I am still trying to figure out esky roof rack or no rack.
