Rear tire carrier?

Well about to fab up a rear tire carrier for the hoe.. might not be everyones style but i just think it will set my hoe apart...anyone ever seen this done or know somewhere where you can buy one so i can get some ideas...ive looked everywhere on the web and cant find one for a OBS tahoe...lookin to do somethin like the pic below...

Have not thought of one like that. I was actually thinking of trying to find a swing style rear tire carrier for mine.

yeah this one just drops straight down so tire is pretty much already on the ground for you if you need to get to the spare which is nice when your rollin 35's haha...just wonderin if its worth the money havin this guy in cali makin it for me and shippin it here or if i could do it for less myself..only thing is if i do it myslef might not look as good.

What about when you need to put somethin in the back of your hoe i would think it would be in the way

like i said earlier if you look at the pictue it has hinges on it all you do is disconnect the top pins and the tire carrier drops down to the ground and you rear tailgate/hatch are still fully functional..

you can probably rig one up off of a zr2 blazer...

thought about that but no way in hell could that thing hold a 35 i mean it could probably hold it but i dont want to movin around hittin my truck and makin all kinds of noise when i drive...just dont think it would hold strong in the long run

it'll be fine. that wheel that's on it in the pic is a 31.5 and it didn't move at all.

yeah i dunno i have my doubts i have been in quite a few zr2 blazers and most of them you can hear the rear tire carrier squeakin and movin around plus i kind of like the more beastly look of the other one but i dunno i guess ill keep lookin around.

the other one does look beastly, but i've honestly never had any problems with my zr2. i've never heard anything come from it.

Build or buy buy a roof rack and strap it on there on top of the roof. That would look awesome.

dont know if you have ever seen my hoe but i do have a roof rack just kind of a pain in the ass to get the 35 up there...but it would look bad ass i might just do that for now...still want a rear tire carrier though
heres is a pic ski racks arent on the basket anymore i took them off for summer..

Thats a nice truck bro. Yeah your truck for sure would look bad ass with a basket on the top and a 35 in it.

its a 6in ranch 9000 i like has held up great so far takin it campin this weekend and its some pretty tough 4 wheelin and its been great the last few times i have been..but eventually i want to do a SAS just do have the finances right now

Cool. If you do end up doing the SAS, let me know how you do it. I wouldn't mind doing that in the future when funds are better. That and a lift and a more powerful engine. After I graduate from college though.
