I was thinking I was going to sell my Tahoe because I am starting to get bored with it, but now I am considering just selling my wheels and going for a more off road look. My question is, what should the offset be for an off road style 20" wheel? Also, what should the back spacing be? I would like them to stick out just a little bit to give it the right look, but not to much.
The wheels I am looking at are +18 offset with something like a 5.25" back spacing. I was thinking about running the Nitto Trail Grappler in a 295/55 R20 and using the ReadyLift SST 2.25"/1.5".

Stock would be close to 5.5" of backspacing and 4.5" of backspacing would be ideal to give you a little bit of a kicked out look. Not sure if that leveling kit would fit that tire without a fair bit of trimming though.

Don't take my word as stone but a 33" tire is going to need some trimming with a leveling kit. Won't fit without a bit to the wheel wells I'm almost positive. There is a guy that did a leveling kit with 33's and he said the trimming was well worth it. He's ride looks sweet too.

I decided today to go ahead and lift mine 6" with 35's and that's going to need trimming too. 4" would only fit 33's and that ALSO needed trimming. This is all coming from my installer who knows far better than I do.
