No real updates. Waiting on the builder to give me documentation that the bank needs

Going out there tomorrow to set some pads around my hydrants. Was going to mix some concrete and pour myself. My brother is our plant manager so he decided to pour the pads in the plant for me. I'll fill the voids after we get them set. This will allow me to better service them if need be

Just got home from working out there. I got the dirt leveled and the pads placed. They're level, but slightly pitched so the water drains. Once they settle in for a few weeks, I'll fill the void with grout and broom finish. Went way smoother than I thought it would. I think they'll look sharp once they do the top soil around them.

Only took a picture of one. A storm was blowing in so we loaded up and headed home

We also burned the brush pile. It was mostly gone when we left. I think I'll have one stump left. Fire was too hot for me to get it moved in closer.

youre not far off from total sqft as we are. Hopefully your build costs are less lol. I know we went with a TON of floor to ceiling glass (nervous about that line item on the build sheet). Our kitchens are similar in layout.

Your house is going to be expensive.

Our window quote for andersen 100 series was $30k. We'll likely go with the 400 series. Haven't seen the price on those.

We aren't in the same time zone when it comes to the cost of your glass, much less the overall construction cost.

Aside from the glass, kitchen, and exterior, the rest of our house is, as the architect would say, "sticks and bricks." I dont think the pricing should be all much different aside from those few things. Only reason I mention kitchen is I know my wife wants high end appliances and whatnot, so our appliance package is probably going to be obscene. But, she loves to cook, can't debate it.

On a side note, I am guessing it's gonna be between $800k-$1M to build Casa de Pwtr.

Since that budget, we've went from 6k heated sqft to 5k heated sqft, and a walk-out basement to a crawl space. I think we should be under what we initially were thinking. The original budget was $1.5M but we upped it to $1.8M.
