You get the roof on yet?
Almost

Just got the framing package quote today

going to try to meet with the builder one day this week and see when the rest is coming in. This is a base package and we'll make adjustments from there

Im following your thread and the yetis for inspiration.

Unless something preexisting falls into my lap, building new might be the only logical option when/if the time comes.
We looked at some new construction homes and all of them had something we didn't like. If this goes the way we want, we'll hopefully have something we like and are happy with. Our land was not exactly what I originally had in mind, but it's shaping up to be. Keep an open mind when looking and know that you can change a lot on the land side of things with some work.

I'm getting a little anxious about all of this as it's getting closer. Hoping I made the right decisions on multiple things. There's no "how to" in any of this, and I'm very much a person that likes to follow directions, so it's been a bit of a challenge. There's definitely things I'd do differently now that I've done some things. Not really the end result, just how we're getting there.

im so indecisive myself, i feel like id have a horrible time trying to build a home. It’s just an idea though. I’m not picky so I don’t mind pre existing, just hard to find something that checks all the boxes in this particular area. I have to branch further away from all major highways and that adds to our daily commute drastically.

Being in the city does have it's drawbacks

Was late getting to the land this evening so it was about dark. They took out some more trees in the front yard area, sloped that ledge off and moved the dirt to the back corner, and started another cut to bring the driveway down some. He's going to put 4 dump trucks hauling clean fill dirt out there tomorrow. We still need to bring the back corner of the pad up about 1.5'. Thought 8-10 loads should do it. Also going to put another couple loads of crusher run on the driveway after they finish hauling the fill dirt. It's supposed to rain like 3" towards the end of the week, so I hope they get everything done and maybe seed and straw. Slopes on the side of the driveway are better. Still need a little polishing.

Nothing spectacular, but progress nonetheless
