Looking for ideas. I would like to hook up a power converter from the rear of the truck using battery posts. The cigarette plug wont deliver enough juice. I prefer something inside the cab but open to all suggestions.

Thanks!

Are you talking about a 12v DC to a 120v AC converter? If yes, what nominal (not peak) output wattage is the converter?

Anything over about 200 watts gets complicated.

Yes, 750 watts.
I installed a converter behind the rear panel of my Tahoe. It's a 750W (1500 peak), for that power you need 6 ga wire. However, you only really need to run the +12V, you can ground it to the chassis at the inverter. In my case, I installed an OEM dual battery configuration and connected the inverter to a 60A fuse at the aux battery. Since the OEM configuration has a disconnect relay, the inverter can't run the main battery down when the vehicle is turned off.
