I need to replace my torque converter on my 2012 Tahoe.
Does anyone have a recommendation for something stout? Circle D is $1000+-, I was looking for $500+-.
O'Reilly's upgraded unit got 5 out of 5 bad reviews.
Current "Shudder" at 1100 rpms.
This is a patch job, just to keep the truck from grenading. I'll do a complete rebuild and trans tune later this year, along with the engine rebuild and upgrade in the camshaft and lifters to eliminate the DOD/AFM.
Thanks

Precision of New Hampton (Iowa) makes good converters
The Luk converters (from summit racing & other sources) have good
reviews and info on them on this forum too

I have this one from Summit in my 2012. It's a reman OEM but with a flanged hub, billet cover, and stronger lockup clutch.
