If your O ring is sealing properly you wou see zero change adding more oil. If the O ring is failing you would probably see the most change on a cold start up. Oil pressure should build very quickly. With bad O rings it can build slowly. Some get to the point where they will not pick up the oil pressure as they continure to fail.
