popping noise when turning in reverse

Well at least you answered the question.

:D i havnt been on in a while and i sort of forgot this thread. I fixed it about 6 months ago. Found out what it was about a year ago. The lower ball joint had up and down play and if you turned and backed up just right it would pop.

Resurrecting the dead here but the sound came back a little while later, turns out it was a loose aluminum skid plate behind the bumper. Kind of an odd thing but i replaced the bolts and got it tight. It had shoulder bolts on it and I believe it had some sort of spring washer in it at one time but mine was MIA. I thought mounting it solid would hurt it but its been going strong for over a year.

Interestingly enough, this is happening to my 2018 Yukon Denali with 9K miles. I'm wondering if the dealership will cover this under manufacturer warranty.
