So you sold it to him? Was there anything wrong with it when you sold it to him? If you still have the vin, Google might pop up with some info--such as if it was totalled, insurance auction etc. My old work van popped up as totalled.
Yeah frame had some rust holes showing up in it. Couldn't get it to pass. And that's right when I got my hands on the Hoe from work so she had to go. I miss it though. Those 2wd barn door Burbs are my favorite of any vehicle I have owned, and I have been through quite a few vehicles. Except for Fords, I hate them.

I feel your pain.... 4 years ago I sold my wonderful '88 C2500. (400,000 miles)
I just replaced all front suspension/steering components with Moog.
4-bolt 350 & a 650hp capable700R4 in 2002.
Some of the interior was re freshened, staying original. You could still wax the bed.
A California truck... zero rust.
Great truck / I miss it. ( sold to a collector in Germany)

Nice. When my dad died in '05 I got his ESC and ran it for about a year before the trans died. Truck was beat to hell though, think it had over 250K on it.

Yeah he said it was owned by a family member and the truck just sat in the garage.

My mom had this sam color combo. Can’t recall the exact year.
Roof paint flaked off pretty bad in AZ at the time. Something to do with the metallic or bad paint.

Remember back in the '80's, when so many white GM trucks/vans had paint peeling in sheets?
Same GM screw-up. Factory waited too long between primer coat - to - finish coat. Finish paint was sprayed on over- cured primer, causing the finish not to adhere to primer.

Wasn't it also because they went to water based paint? I had a beautiful 91 S10 sport that was an electric blue metallic that the paint started to peel in sheets. Started on the hood, then the roof started. Traded it in for a ferd POS.
