I remember those. Pretty badass.
I tried for a few years to get that shifter setup for my GN--when I still had it. They were hard to find, and when I did they wanted CRAZY money for a setup. Surprisingly Hurst doesn't make them anymore. I bet if they did they'd make a TON of money selling them. ijAwUZQ8-37300556.jpg

That old school equalizer under the dash REALLY brings back good memories. That was the thing to get and install back in my youfth. Especially the backlit slide knobs. And there were twice as many wires to hook up per amount of adjustment knobs. Really a good challenge for us old whipper snappers coming of age.

Here is a picture of my 2001 Tahoe that is the tow vehicle for my 1970 Monte Carlo that I have owned for 50 years. I have owned the Tahoe for 23 years and it has been a faithful servant all of this time. The Monte Carlo was purchased on May 5, 1974 and has a 350 V8 with a 4 barrel carb that produces 300 HP. I had the engine restored this past year to make sure it would run well. I was headed to the National Monte Carlo Show in Bowling Green, KY.

I had this option in my first car...

My '72 Monte Carlo had an in-dash OE AM 8-Track player. No FM. Copper colored paint, black vinyl roof, leather seats, and Rally wheels. Just like the one in the pic. I had the 350 updated with a cam and headers, and true dual exhaust. Loved that car!
