Does anyone know the difference between the two GM part numbers 19433760 and 84460754? I have a 2022 Yukon Denali and looking to upgrade my exhaust system. Both show up when I enter my VIN.
Thanks. I too am faced with this decision.19433760 has a front resonator just before the muffler and is branded as Borla
84460754 is GMPP (made by Borla) and has the resonators at the rear near the tail pipes
If your putting on new vehicle that is under warranty I would ask them Dealer and make sure if they install warranty on vehicle will stay intact.
If not under warranty aftermarket might be a good alternative.
I have the Borla 140557 Touring on a 2019 Tahoe. Currently the Touring is the only available option from Borla for 2015 thru 2020. This has welded on chrome tips. No visible resonators. It does drone between 1700 and 2000 RPM. I have talked to Borla about the drone and they are waiting for me to send them a recording of said drone. They said it could be defective. They also told me that the system is designed with the resonator built into the muffler and that is how they achieve zero drone. I'm not sure if this is BS or not. I will send them the recording and see what they say.So I squeezed a tad bit more info out of Borla customer service. They told me GM 19433760 would be more similar to Borla's 140859 "S-Type" sound level (the louder one).
So to re-cap, the "Borla" options are:
GM system - has x1 resonator before muffler; Borla denies they make this
84460754 (has "GMC" etched in chrome tips) MSRP $2395.00
GM "by Borla" systems - has x2 resonators after muffler; probably has "Borla" etched in tips instead
19433760 (chrome tips) MSRP $2495.00
19433762 (black chrome tips) MSRP $2495.00
Borla Touring systems - doesn't appear to have any resonators per photos
140858 (chrome tips) MSRP $1931.99
140858BC (black chrome tips) MSRP $2036.99
140858CF (carbon fiber tips) MSRP $2999.99
Borla S-Type systems - same no resonators
140859 MSRP $1871.99
140859BC MSRP $1999.99
140859CF MSRP $2554.99
I think the 2 GM systems are backwards with regard to the resonators and name etching. So I squeezed a tad bit more info out of Borla customer service. They told me GM 19433760 would be more similar to Borla's 140859 "S-Type" sound level (the louder one).

Not sure if you were asking me or someone else… but I went with the GM performance exhaust ultimately (84460754) but briefly had the Borla exhaust (19433760). The Borla system was too aggressive for me and the fam. I still have the Borla exhaust if you’re interested.Which system did you end up going with? I wish there were more installs/videos of the GMPP system.
I like the GM system a lot. The only time my wife hassles me is on cold starts when the kids are asleep. As others have said. It is louder on cold starts and then quiets down pretty quickly. It sounds better than stock and I think the exhaust tips look good too.Yep you. How do you like the GM system? Do you have a video of it?
I have the long wheelbase version on the way, just curious what it sounds like. It’s hard to find people with the actual GMPP version - everyone on the internet just calls it the “GM borla system” which is the other flavor they sell on the accessories site (without the resonators).
Thank you on the Borla offer, but I have an XL and also have yearly 2,500+ mi road trips with the family so I can’t drive them nuts either. I just want to hear it when I step on it. The GM oem system is inaudible all but after startup…
Thank you sir. Just closing the loop in case anyone else stumbles onto this thread since I installed mine.I like the GM system a lot. I do have a few very short videos on my phone, but I’m not sure how to upload them. It only offers to let me attach photos.
I found this video to be helpful. Although not exactly exactly our system.
I bought GM performance exhaust from ShopChevyParts.comYep you. How do you like the GM system? Do you have a video of it?

I was looking at these options but the GM performance exhaust for my 2024 6.2l Tahoe is #84888291(different number than the one you got), the Borla is the same #19433760. The price difference is almost $1k cheaper for the Borla and the GM #84888291 describes increased 13HP and torque. The Chevy Parts website offers the option for dealer installation for $200 which sounds pretty cheap for dealer work. Not sure if you were asking me or someone else… but I went with the GM performance exhaust ultimately (84460754) but briefly had the Borla exhaust (19433760).
