Painting gauge needles

How did you do it....After using nail remover, my needles are all fuzzy / distorted now. Any suggestions, I'm planning on painting them white.

I'd prefer not to spray paint them since it seems like a lot of work to tape them up.

i wouldnt of taken the needles off your cluster. why not just buy OEM escalade or denali needles from the dealership..
