looking at a 99 Tahoe on Tuesday. It's a 99 sport with 137k. Currently it's at a tow yard. It was a police impound that was never picked up. It's pretty clean. Haven't driven it yet, but everything works(not sure about AC though). It's been sitting about a year. What should I pay? Also, what should I look for in it for issues? And I know it needs wheels.

Thanks! The interior is like new, but the exterior needs a decent buffing to get pin stripes off. Has original paint and no fading. Only issue is that it was probably used for a short time to move large quantities of marijuana. That's why the exterior needs a little work. It was abandoned in a wash near border.

Hmmm if that was its prior life I would think about painting it so the previous people who had it don't go and find it...

It's insured. And trucks are cheap to them. They've already replaced it ten times over at least. They get about a month out of them before they're retired.

Took off ugly wheels today. Fixed power steering line, mirror and door handle yesterday. Getting an oil change right now and it'll be good to go.

Those OEM wheels look 100x better!! Nice. Even like the white wall BFG letters too. My brother had one in red back in the day.
