Hi all, new member here from the Charlotte, NC area (on the SC side). Not new to the GM family though. I've owned several GM trucks over the years and so has my family.

I recently traded in a 2019 GMC Canyon on a 2021 GMC Yukon SLT. My family is growing and in March we are expecting another baby. The Canyon was a great truck and I will miss it, but it would not be feasible anymore with two small children in car seats.

Anyways. The "new-to-me" Yukon is great. Purchased with just under 63,000 miles. But it has been very well cared for. Regularly maintained by my local dealer ironically. Paint is immaculate, Slate Metallic. Interior is very clean, practically no wear. Under-body has ZERO rust. Southern owned and garage kept. Previous 1 owner traded it in on something smaller.

The truck is an SLT, but it is nicely equipped. Heated wheel, heated front and rear seats. Cooled front seats. Tow brake controller. Bose. Nav/CarPlay. Captains rear seats. Rear entertainment. 5.3L-10spd. 4 wheel drive. Pano roof. Power folding seats. etc etc.

I look forward to interacting and contributing on the forums. I also run a YouTube Channel (www.youtube.com/c/fondupot) and I plan to upload content about this truck. I'll be sure to share it here when I do.

Immediate plans for the truck are basic maintenance for my own peace of mind and turning off AFM.
-Range Technologies DFM/AFM disabler is on order.
-Oil and Filter Change (even tho it was just done by the selling dealer, I want to do it myself)
-10 spd transmission service (fluid and filter) - I have a great local transmission shop that I'll use for this.
-Front and Rear diff service
-Transfer case service

Sweet....... Your 'purchase story' is similar to my story, ..... 6 years ago I bought an '05 Yukon XL SLT ( Graphite color)..... My ride has been perfect with 176,000 on the clock, now. You have a nice piece!! Hopefully, your new technology will stay reliable. ( get a Tech 2 )

Hello hello! Great looking truck! This was almost the exact spec I was looking at pulling the trigger on before my 18 3500 came up. You will not be disappointed. These are great baby haulers as I was doing a similar upgrade as well.

Enjoy and stay engaged! Cheers.

Thanks again all for the warm welcome.

Here is a closer look at our new Yukon. I'd love it you'd like and subscribe, but don't feel obligated to. I just enjoy doing my own maintenance and modifications. And documenting it is part of the fun. I will plan to upload content on this truck so hopefully its educational and entertaining.

I just joined a week or two ago with a very similar story and vehicle.

I’ll be interested in your experience with but AFM delete. I’m new to GM so I’m still learning but I’ve read horror stories abt the system and lifter issues.

Does anyone know if a delete will void a CPO warranty? I assume so. Second question: if the dongle is removed, will there be any evidence the delete was ever installed?
