Haven't checked on this thread in a while, and I can tell I missed a tom of progress. Truck looks super clean! What size tires are you running with the RCX?

Wow I missed the updates too. Looks WAY better now with the lift and all. Very good work. How's it running now? Got all the little bugs worked out yet? :)

Yes! Took it through some mud this weekend and everything is still in one piece.
I did just have it aligned when i got the new wheels, but the bolt that controls the camber of the left front wheel came very loose and started knocking around every time i turned, but i tightened it back down and havent heard anything since.

I finally got around to direct wiring the radar detector, and i have everything for the 4hi mod.
Now im just going to junk yards to look for kodiak/topkick door handles. This forum is like a gold mine... I would have never thought of any of this stuff.

finally got around to the topkick handle swap, and while i was working on it, i put on a set of mudflaps i had sitting in the garage and did the 4HI mod. just realized how ugly the differential cover is, i need to repaint or replace it.

Finally made it up north, put the new wheels on, and got some new towing mirrors...

now the only thing i need to do is figure out how to wire this radar detector in... I wanted to wire it into the button that turns on my reading light (I saw my uncle did it with his BMW M5) but it didn't work for some reason... anyone know if it doesn't have enough power? its a passport 9500x, I wired it directly to the power and ground wire. please help :)

I bought all the parts from the links on the thread from gmt400 forums. Most of the rods were from gmpartsdirect and the handles were from... Rock auto? I think. I did bot do my back handle (barn doors) but i have read someone else did.. But had to custom make his own rods.

I did end up wiring up the radar detector, but for some reason, i couldnt get it to work with the light switch, guess it wasnt enough power. So i just used a fuse adapter and plugged it into the fuse that powers the radio. Ran it up the front left support and under the headliner (you'll have to remove the three screws on you sun visor to pull it down a little) until the middle. Now i just leave it plugged in and it runs when i turn the truck on. But i can take it down when im in a sketchy area.

Front gears? Why? I dont know anything about that, but if i need them, i am not against it. Should i replace the rear too at the same time?
Thanks
