Well for one thing you can form sentences and not make one complete sentence talking about how you drove through deep water and hydrolocked your motor and now you want more power but you don't want to change much but still want more power but that said if i were you i would still do a 6 liter upgrade and then you would have plenty of power are you wanting to rebuild your motor or replace it in its entirety did you bend a rod or exactly what is toast on your motor if it was a slow speed water injestion it should be ok to pull the plugs and turn it over to drain the water but apparently that didnt work so i assume you bent a rod but it might still be repairable so you can put new internals in it and all and have more power!!!

ok. here's you some periods you can use next time; see how hard it is to read and follow you?

ha ha lol sorry was just typing fast and just forgot to throw them in.I was told that it would cost more to do that. If its cheaper to do it that way then id rather go that way then buying a new engine. I was told by a friend that looked at it that i probable threw a rod.

Do a 6.0 swap for real. It'll be worth it

i might do that. what way would be cheaper to just rebuild my engine to a 6.0 or to buy one that would be a plug and play ? as well were do i find one for a good deal? i have been searching so far and have got some quotes.

LKQ can generally get you a pretty good engine for around 600 buck for a 5.3. I have bought several engines from them in the past and had nothing but outstanding customer service, and the fastest shipping I have ever seen.

ya just got a quote. It would be 900 shipped for one or 800 but i fond one on a site for 600 with free shipping. idk yet think i may do the 6.0 swap if i could find an engine that would be plug and play. maybe change out the crack cam and heads.

Do the 6.0 and never look back!

get a short block and bolt on some 243 heads and toss in some forged pistons studd everything with ARP. You will be soo glad you did..
It will eat nitrous and forced induction all day and ask for more.

Why do you want one that is plug and play if you might change out the crank, cam, and heads. That's pretty much rebuilding an engine. If you have the time, tools, and skill, why not just rebuild the engine you have? You could upgrade it while you're at it.

planned on pulling the engine in it and doing that then swapping back but i need my truck, dont really have another vehicle and herd its pricey to rebuild a engine just the amount of time that gos into it. I wouldnt do it my self dont have the tools anymore room.

a rebuild would cost more than $800, when you can slide in a low mileage one...for that price or less.

from what I have been reading on here the 6.0 swap is just about as easy as the long block and reprogram the pcm, so it knows you now have a 6.0. everything else bolts on.
