So I'm looking for a way to place a 3rd battery under the hood. I was thinking a few years back I saw someone had replaced their air intake box with another battery tray, and had shortened their intake to allow the room. Maybe even diverted it downward?
Anyways, I was wondering if there is any problem with doing that? Would shortening the intake tube cause problems? I've done the electric fans swap on my '04 Tahoe. I would like honestly to switch to Group 31 batteries for my stereo, but I don't see any way to be able to fit those under the hood, unfortunately.
Open to ideas here.
